Digital Platforms, Marketplaces, and Models for I4.0 and beyond
Tuesday, 25th April 2023 10:40 - Auditorium Blue Cube
Moderator: Tonny Velin - Managing Director at Industry 4.0 Factory Solutions
While new solutions regularly emerge to optimise production, ensure quality, reduce defects and improve training and achieve Zero Defect Manufacturing (ZDM), Manufacturers (large, SMEs) need instruments to help them at understanding, accessing and extracting the real potential of those solutions for their businesses. This session addresses how specialised marketplaces can become the recognised access point for solutions oriented to ZDM, how Digital Platforms can help companies organize production and create value and finally how Digital Transformation Models (DTMs) and roadmaps help for transition to I4.0 and I5.0 (Human centric, sustainability, resilience) concepts and cover all the phases of the digital transformation process and not only focus on the definition of the concepts.

Data Quality in Manufacturing
Tuesday, 25th April 2023 10:40 - Assembly Hall Red Cube
Moderator: Phu Nguyen - Senior Research Scientist at SINTEF, Norway
This “Data Quality in Manufacturing” session will focus on discussing approaches for managing and taming data quality issues in smart manufacturing. ZDM solutions need to take data quality management seriously as they are increasingly data-centric in their approaches. These approaches should interact hand in hand with AI/ML models, e.g., to pre-process data, detect anomalies within short-term streaming data and long-term historical data, repair erroneous data, replace missing data, and detect ethical issues such as bias in data.

Robotics in Manufacturing
Tuesday, 25th April 2023 10:40 - Assembly Hall Yellow Cube
Moderator: Ana Gonzalez Segura - Project Manager at NTT DATA SPAIN
Global drivers such as the shortage of qualified personnel, the increasing energy and material costs, or the need for higher productivity, are pushing manufacturers to explore robotics solutions to become more efficient and effective. Thanks to the integration of machine learning algorithms and real-time data analysis, cobots can be taught to perform tasks that were previously difficult to automate, such as those that require fine motor skills or human-like perception. With these technologies, collaborative robotics can become even more efficient and effective, allowing manufacturers to streamline their processes, improving upon manual tasks that are hard to automate and bringing them to the digital age.
